Meet the new president, Kimberly Hoglund

Dear KSWLA Community,

I would like to thank you for all the ways in which you support your students, your

schools, your communities, and our association of language educators. It is an

honor to serve as your 2025-2026 KSWLA President. Together, we continue to

accomplish great goals.

In November, we had a great opportunity to connect in Manhattan during the Conference

Speak, Connect, Thrive: Proficiency in a Globalized World. Thank you all for making this

conference a success. In addition to the wonderful keynotes and presenters that enriched our

teaching practices, the conference allowed us to connect, share ideas, and celebrate the

incredible work done across Kansas.

As we look ahead for additional exciting opportunities in professional development, I encourage

you to consider attending the upcoming Central States Conference in Chicago, Illinois. It will be

another great opportunity to learn and grow.

Your energy, creativity, dedication and passion make this community special, and I cannot wait

to see what more we will achieve together during the upcoming year.
