This year we have changed the deadline for the student art competition to June 1, 2017. The conference program booklet will feature student artwork from KSWLA. To be considered, all submissions must:

  • be original artwork (no computer-generated graphics or clip art allowed) created by a student
       currently enrolled in a foreign language class taught by a KSWLA member
  • reflect the conference theme “Envisioning Efficacy”
  • include the words “Envisioning Efficacy” in English
  • be on 8 ½” x 11” paper with vertical (portrait) orientation
  • use correct orthography and grammar for any words or phrases included
       (in English or other languages, all will be checked)
  • not include either the student’s or school's name on the artwork side
  • be received by June 1, 2017.

Electronic submissions will not be considered. Teachers are strongly encouraged to provide the written contest rules to their students, as the number of entries necessitates strict adherence to the rules.
