Garinger Scholarship

NOMINEES MUST:

be a student or former student from a Kansas High school who is studying a foreign language at a Kansas community college, college, or university.

have excelled in the study of a foreign language for at least two years in secondary school.

be recommended by his or her teacher who is a current member of KSWLA.

enroll in a foreign language course during the academic year the scholarship is awarded.

The scholarship is $500.

HOW TO SUBMIT A NOMINATION:

Nominating teachers must complete and submit the form below.

The nominated student must submit a brief written narrative (to the Past President, by mail or e-mail) explaining why he or she desires to continue foreign language studies.

Nominations should be submitted by June 1 for the following academic year.

The winner will be honored at the conference banquet held at the KSWLA Annual Fall Conference in November.
