Concordia Language Villages
Planning instruction for today's world language students has never been more exciting...and challenging. Learn how the acronym P.R.I.C.E. can serve as an organizer for effective lesson and unit planning.
Participants will reflect on their priorities as they plan units and lessons. They will explore how to balance priorities so that the units and lessons are "healthy" for both students and teachers. The audience will participate in activities from Concordia Language Village that increase student interest and engagement.
Donna Clementi is the Director of Education and Research for Concordia Language Villages, after spending 33 years teaching French in the Appleton Area School District. She was a member of the ACTFL Performance Assessment Unit Pilot Project and was on the Wisconsin Guide to Curriculum Planning team.
GRADUATE CREDIT OPTION
2008 will be the second year KSWLA will work in cooperation with the University of the Pacific's Center for Professional & Continuing Education, to offer a graduate credit option for conference attendees who complete projects based on what they learned at the conference keynote workshops. Attendees must register and pay (personal check or credit card number) before leaving the conference.
